About this tour
Fayoum is Cairo's favourite escape: a fertile oasis wrapped in desert, with lakes, dunes and a creative village of potters.
Your private car takes you to Wadi El Rayan, a protected area of two lakes linked by small waterfalls. From there you switch to a 4x4 to cross the desert to the Magic Lake and the dunes, where you can try sandboarding. After lunch in Tunis Village and a look inside a pottery workshop, you head back to Cairo at sunset.

- We pick you up from your hotel or apartment in Giza, the Pyramids area, Dokki, Zamalek or Downtown Cairo. Other areas on request — just ask.
- Cancellation
- Cancel up to 10 days before your trip and your deposit is refunded in full. Within 10 days the deposit is non-refundable, because your guide, vehicle and tickets are already booked and paid — but you can move your date once for free (up to 48 hours before) and keep your deposit as credit. If we have to cancel, you get a full refund.
- Bring sunglasses and a scarf for the desert section.
- Not suitable for travelers with back problems or pregnant travelers (4x4 drive).
Frequently asked questions
Can we visit Wadi El Hitan too?
Yes, ask us to add the Valley of the Whales. It makes a longer day and has an extra entrance fee.
